42,000 BC Teachers Strike |
|
Students at Templeton Secondary in East Vancouver have a history of supporting their teachers in disputes between the teachers' union ( BC Teachers' Federation or "BCTF") and the Liberal government. |
In the last round of bargaining in 2002 students from several east end schools including Templeton walked out of class and rallied to protest the government's intransigence in negotiations. Last week some of the same students provided this report from the picket line on October 07, 2005, the first morning of the BCTF strike. |
